Yo here is another work in progress. I am planning to make the djinn look more drunk and holding a g&t in the other hand. Also I am going to make a pattern to go around the whole blue border like it is in the circle behind the djinn. Also trying to come up with a little bit of text to go underneath “drink of the gods”. Enjoy.

Plasticine model

Here is a plasticine model that I made. He is hunched backed and miserable. This is to highlight the negative effects of BAD POSTURE! Don’t be like this man. Do you know he is only 27? Yes people that is the effect of bad posture. He looks AT LEAST 29. He is green because that was the only colour I had enough of.

Here are some initial rough versions of posters for our project to help posture. The first one tells the story of a man (made of plasticine) whos life has been ruined by bad posture. The second comes from the posture correction method of imagining a balloon pulling your head up. Hence the guy being lifted above the clouds but balloons. The third is divided in two, one side showing a hunch back and the other showing a man standing up straight. They are in duotone so that the viewer will associate the colour used more strongly with posture. If we strongly emphasise one colour in all our material then the colour itself will become a trigger for better posture.

Voting was finished early on my t shirt at threadless probably due to consistant low scores. I died a little inside. Oh well time to move on!

Here is my submission to the Threadless Movember competition. Click. It’s my first ever submission so fingers crossed and maybe the impossible will happen and it will get printed. Help me out, give me high scores and ting, I will repay you with my eternal love and gratitude. The design has now been approved and is up for scoring.

The idea came from communist propaganda posters from the Soviet Union, North Korea and Cuba in part because all the famous Communists seem to have a very prominant ‘tash. Well, all except the oriental ones (neither Mao Tse-tung or Kim Jong Il chose to embrace this symbol of wisdom and dominance). These posters convey a strong sense of comradare , triumph and power, sentiments which are reflected in the moustaches of men everywhere.

It could be said that this is a hollow and souless parody of an iconic and meaningful part of graphic history. Well whatever. It is what it is, now stop complaining.

Previously I made a box man thing out of card and elastic bands and this served as the base for the characters in the poster. Here he is! The edges are a little rough on this one but I plan to make another out of thicker card and maybe fix a light switch in the back that turns on LEDs to make a face, kinda like Tengu.
